Alpha Brewing Operations Attends 2017 Craft Brewers Conference

Alpha Brewing Operations just returned home from the 2017 Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) in Washington D.C. The trade show and conference was a tremendous success with over 12,000 in attendance. It was particularly special for Alpha as it marked the unveiling of the Beer Cannon series of canning lines now in full production. Attendees were amazed at the features not found on other linear canning systems. The micro load cell, or “weigh station” as viewers called it is revolutionary. Mobile canners said manually weighing cans is a full time job for one of their operators on their current canning systems. If a can is weighed and determined to be a low-fill, the operator can choose to seam, or not seam the can. In either case the low-fill will be removed from the line automatically by the auto-reject arm. The “revolver” lid magazine design was also met with envy.

In addition to the buzz at the BC35 canning line, attendees climbed all over the 15bbl 3 vessel complete, fully automated brew house on display. This brew house which now resides with Dog Island Brewing Co. in Alberta, Canada was a hit with show goers. The 30bbl custom tall hot and cold liquor tanks were integrated into the brew house platform and process piping. The beautiful tank mounted grist case rose high above the exhibition in all its shiny glory. The entire brew house was skid mounted for easy mobility, hookup and leveling. So impressed was Kevin Brown, owner of Frenchtown Brewing on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, that he purchased an identical system. Alpha looks forward to topping their showcase at CBC 2018 in Nashville, TN.
