Take a Virtual Tour of Boiler Brewing

Alpha invites you to take a virtual reality, 3D tour of Boiler Brewing Co (BBC) in Lincoln, NE. Alpha teamed with VRLY, a strong charging startup in Lincoln, NE who is using futuristic technology to bring an immersive experience to their customers. You can literally walk behind the bar and see what’s on tap! Sorry, VRLY can't pour you a cold one. See more VRLY projects at www.getvrly.com.

Alpha Brewing Operations supplied a turn-key, 10bbl brewery outfit in partnership with Monte Froehlich who owns the more than 100-year-old historic Grand Manse building in downtown Lincoln. This marvel of turn of the century architecture was the original federal building housing the federal courthouse and post office and other government agencies.

The original boiler room in the basement of the building is now the beautiful taproom, hence the name Boiler Brewing. The huge end plates of the two 100-year-old boilers adorn the walls. Alpha tackled the logistical challenge of getting custom built 10bbl fermenters into the restored and remodeled boiler room. These “unitank” fermenters are uniquely used as serving vessels right behind the bar. Getting the cellar tanks and fully automated 10bbl 2 vessel steam brew house into the brewery production area adjacent to the taproom was no easy measure either. As BBC celebrates its one year anniversary, it has already won silver and bronze in the U.S. Open Beer Championships and was named one of the top 34 new U.S. breweries by Beer Advocate.

According to Alpha Co-founder and President Matt Rennerfeldt “The BBC project presented an opportunity for Alpha to display its ability to engineer and customize equipment to optimally fit a very challenging space.” He closed in saying, “If we can design and implement one of the country’s hottest new breweries into an underground, century old parking garage and boiler room, we can do it just about anywhere.”
